Kodi is at great risk, considering how there is a crackdown against illegal streaming. The Premier League is leaving no stone unturned, making sure each and every viewer streaming their content illegally will pay their due.
The Premier League already put a popular streaming service out of commission, which was also forced to pay £600,000 for breaching copyright laws.
Ace IPTV, owned by Ian Isaac and Craig Driscoll, were selling access to illegal streams for the Premier League, across numerous devices, including Kodi. Apart from paying the fine imposed on them, they also gave out information on their customers.
The Premier League, for now, is reviewing the situation in compliance with data protection legislation and will conduct further investigations in order to take the appropriate action where required.
